Hello! My name is Jacqi and I’ve recently moved from Katmai National Park in bush Alaska to the buzzing Appalachian town of Asheville. In my years traveling abroad and living in rural communities, I’ve seen first hand the emotional and mental damage that financial or medical crisis can wreak upon pet owners who are forced to give up or put down their pets. Once I found out about the APASPCA and their outreach/assistance programs, I became very excited about the opportunity to assist pets and owners in crisis in a town where I see that need is great.

When I’m not playing with pups or conducting fundraisers, you can find me out in the woods, fiddling around on my mandolin, or cooking up lots of Asian-Fusion cuisine. Having a background in nonprofit management, volunteer coordinating and event planning, I feel ecstatic about cultivating a relationship with an organization as ethical and innovative as the APASPCA and contributing my skills to the Asheville area.
